Holyman
I was talking to a guy the other day who lives in central Missouri who said you can pay $15 for a sticker to street ride {gravel roads only}. Have you guys heard of such a thing?
ledofthezep
Interesting...couldn't tell ya though. Sounds kinda fishy, but who know's, maybe it's only on state park land?

stealthawd
i think that is only on a local level. i have heard of towns (very rural) that allow you to ride on the street, but I don't think you can ride like I would LIKE to ride on the street. I know in my area (Farmington), that I have been told not to ride on the street even outside of city limits. That is how my brother actually got his shee back after it was stolen, the dude was riding it on a road somewhere and got pulled over. I have personally rode mine through town in the snow when everything was shut down due to weather. No one pulled me over, but honestly, how would they? locogato11283
ive never heard of that. theres a city about 10 miles north of me that allows quads on the streets with a special permit. thing is that you must be a resident of that city. i could ride the roads where i live since im out in the boonies. i would like ot be able to ride on the roads, if you hear anymore about it let me know. thanks. mrmatt
I don't know about Missouri, but you can ride on country roads in certain Indiana counties. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28023

Which town is it that they have the permit for? The guy I talked to lives in Dixon which can be pretty remote and he said it is only good for gravel roads but my thing is if I could get some kind of permission from ANYWHERE I would be willing to try it out where I actually live in Illinois. He says they issue a sticker that you put on the quad. I've paid $15 for other stickers and if nothing else I at least have some documentation that's it's "streetable". mavguy
I rode on the road once, got pulled over and recived a 260$ ticket. Quads are COPS worst enemy. F*cked if i know why they treat us like shit, after all, i fought the ticket and didn't have to pay, because of a loophole that said riders are allowed to go on road if the ditch is impassible.
