has any one had there ball joints in there a arms go bad? can they be replaced? the reason i ask is my right front tire seems to turn more then my left, almost to the point you would think it would hit the frame. i checked the over steer tab and that is fine. i aslo adjusted my alignment at that seemed ok. should i have a little to in or out when i align it?

You can't replace the stock ball joints, you hafta replace the whole a-arm (you could try welding in a new one but chances are it won't survive). The most common cause is a cut or torn boot, when water and dirt get in the ball it won't last long. You should be able to block up the front end and look for play, if it is the ball joint it will be real obvious. Good excuse to upgrade your a-arms tho.

I think I set mine up with 1/2" of toe-in, it's been a while tho. You sure that tab on the frame isn't bent?

If your ball joints are bad replace them before you get hurt. I had a ball joint come out of the spindle when I was jumping my shee and I nearly went over the bars. I was lucky that it was a small jump. I also heard that someone had a major wreck at little sahara oklahoma recently when the guy was drag racing. He was in 5th gear when his lower ball joint came loose and his shee just started cartwheeling. The guy was alright though. He had a helmet on.

I broke the spindle axle off my left front one time..man did that suck. Came down hard off this double, then out of the blue my machine veered left like there was no tommorrow..I was pretty damn lucky I didn't flip it...I thought I had shit another balljoint or my tie-rod failed..nope sheared that axle clean off..the only thing holding my wheel on was my brake caliper.

it was and i bent it back , maybe i needs to go farther

if youve got a mig setup its really easy to put a triangular gusset in there and if done up right you will never ever have to bend it back or adjust it again.
