My J-arms and A-arms if the J's turn out.. maybe foot pegs if I'm bored.. Just simple stuff like that, no cases, jugs, mabe the largest would be my rims.. =)

banshee04le
Sandpaper and elbow grease is the main thing and then the biggest baddest buffing wheel you can find with a little polishing compound. The bigger the better on the buffer. Keep in mind that I don't know shit about buffing though .
banshee04le
You can use a dremel buffing wheel, but your gonna be there a while.

DirtRider
buffing wheel. a scotchbrite wheel. and a sanding wheel. those are the three things you need they come is a variety of different shapes and sizes. i recomend getting a table mount grinder for the buffing. you can buy motors and make your own setup for a lot cheaper probably. you can buy a $30 dermel and a 30 pac. that should last you for a couple days anyway. i can pollish some parts for you. we can barder, just like back in the old days. whatcha got? stealthawd
i tried my hand at polishing some stuff and learned REALLY REALLY fast why people make money at polishing. it's a bitch. I ended up having a really shiny plate of aluminum (which became my under seat key relocation plate), grimy wheels and a huge nasty spot on my clothes. It really is a PITA...you have to have a good knack for knowing when you have enough, but not too much compound on the wheel.
eehsnab2
If you are looking to make a cheap polishing wheel use an angle grinder. I shit you not. I used one and got excellent results. What you do is get and angle grinder and some metal straps similar to those used in toliet tanks that connect the lever to the bottom dealy thing. Anyway, bend the straps (3 or 4) over the grinder and make sure its secure. My 4.5 in ryobi special does just the trick and cost me $35. Buy some 6 inch polishing pads... Buy one sisal wheel and use brown tripoli with it after you have sanded it to with about 1000-1500 grain working your way from 400 or so making sure all your scratches are out from sanding it previously. Then after using the sisal wheel and tripoli use a loose cotton wheel with white compound to get that extra gleem! It'll take you a while but its worth the reward... all of this is available at any home depot! Edited June 29, 2004 by eehsnab2
