tats4life
Yesterday the shop I work for sponsored a pwc poker run. They only people from my shop were myself, andmy wife with my ultra 150 with stage 2 kit w/nos, my assembly tech on his new RXP, one of our sales guys on a used XLT1200 yamaha. There was about 21-23 ski's totally. We were crusin around on the water having a good time. Made a couple of stops and drawn some cards. We were heading away from the damn and greg on his rxp when strolling by me, then scott my sales guy went by me on the yamaha. By this time my wife was screaming at me "what the hell are u waitin for, an invitation!!!!". FYI, the rxp is a intercooled supercharged 215 hp, the yamaha has some work done and it's got about 160hp. My boat with the nos and stage 2 kit is about 205 hp. Greg and Scott were probably about 5 boats in front of me. I trimmed the boat out wife tightened her grip up and I nailed it. I shot up between Scott and Greg, next thing I remeber is lookin down at the GPS reading 62. Next thing I now I'm skipping across the water like a pebble. Lost the new sunglasses, thor hat, watch. Wife lost one contact, and one of her diamond ear rings (thank god for insurance!!) And I can not begin to tell you guys what the hell happened or can scott or greg. From my left knee to my left shoulder is black and blue and turning mustard lookin brown. My wifes left ass check is a nice purple color. Needless to say she won't ride on the ski with me again. I have a new respect for people that race pwc's or anything on water, that shit was like a brick wall!!!!!!!!!!!
sredish
Damn tats. Your gonna be alright though it sounds like so that's good. Anything other than bruising? Wonder what happened, just hit a wake and missled off that bitch huh? If you'd have done that with your shee, you'd be f'ed up right now. I freaking love pwc's. I had a 96 Doo XP with porting, high comp., pipes, carbs, other shit I don't even remember and an impeller. Don't know what she put out, probably around 150 or so, but she freaking flied. If you pegged that throttle, it was flat gone, only weighed about 350lbs, compared to the newer machines in the 6 and 7 hundreds. One of the most insane speed rushes I've ever experienced. I had all the stock decals on it and the only thing you could tell to the mods was the sound of the exhaust. I was going to get into racing, but it never panned out. Not much around here and don't have time to travel. Anyway, we were all beached, hanging out and this one kinda friend runs out and hops on the fucker. I was kinda pissed but figured it'd be alright. About an hour later, he's still freaking gone. We hop in the ski boat and go find him about a mile away at the dock with it hooked up to jumper cables and his truck. I'm like WTF? Turns out, he was showing off around the dock for the girlies and dunks it. It died and won't start, so he thinks the batter is dead and freaking hooks his truck up to it. He's turning it over and turning it over. I fucking freaked on his ass. Spent 12 hours straight (from 8pm till 8am the next morning) trying to get the water out and pumping the motor. Took the head off and was spinning the motor and doing everything i thought I could to get the water out. The next morning, I took it straight to the Sea Doo shop and told them to help me, I didn't know what to do. To make it short, I had to get a $800 shortblock, put it all back together, then a $400 starter from killing it trying to get the water out and a $200 battery. That thing still was never right. I paid $3500 for it and traded straight across for my banshee that I have now. I got the banshee when it was 6 months old and virtually unused. Sat in a garage cause the owner travelled for work. Even with the damage done, I feel I got pretty close back to even and the guy paid me $500 for what he did, that's all he had. I might get another one day, but I'm still pretty sore with what happened, I'll just keep using the boat. Later, sorry for being a post pirate, just wanted to share my experience. EDIT: I doubt I was getting that much power, I was thinking about that and I was probably short of that number.
