Flags are not meant to ride on trails. You will catch them on tree, bush' ect. The flags are meant to use in the dunes so another riders can see you more easily when approaching you from the other direction on a dune. 2 cents

yeah a lot of places require a flag to ride there and they get beaten to all hell ont he tree tops

i got one that is rectractable like an antenae

its stainless steel and has a spring loaded base

it slides down to be only a little over a foot tall whne it put it down

it was like 18 bucks i think

the local shop ordered it from tucker rocky or someplace like that

 no offence or anything, but why do you think i got the flag?

i no what your saying tho, i mostly rise trails when im not racing mx, but theere is no trees atol along the tracks cos of huge forestry tractors going up and down there. there is alot of corners at hidden dips thats why i got it. my mate got 1 for his ktm as well for the same reason. but i didnt explain that in my story so, again please dont take this pesonal!

thanks for the info tho!, cos i didnt have a clue about how much strain these flags have when they are mounted!

im, stripping the engine tomoro so im going to try and put the flag up on the grab bar then im done.

cheers guys
