sredish
Give it a try now, but your going to need to be on your best riding day, and you'll probably be a little behind him with his mods, he'll be hard to head off. To really make a statement, the below will help out: Pipes, compression, ProFlow air setup, Vforce reeds, timing plate. Then ride the way it needs to be ridden and you should be good to go. It won't matter, because once you start, you won't stop. A year from now, you'll be, "what about a +4 stroker", and it never stops. Good luck. 2k4_Shee
i have raced him 2 times and he takes me about 2-3 lengths but we never have raced for any more than 100-150 yrds, so im just gettin into mid 5th gear. I think with some pipes, K&N with lid removed, jets, and a sprocket change he should be seeing the ass-end of the banshee? Should i change the front or rear sprocket? Yeah, I meant to say a sprocket change also. 2 to 3 quad lengths sounds about right for what you compared to. Yep, some pipes, reeds, air setup and you'd be right in there, but he'll still be tough. Problem is, they're easier to ride so if you miss one shift or are a little late, he's got you. Get your head decked for less than a hundred, in fact, Boonman on the site does it, and I think he's really cheap and his work is first class quality. I know from first-hand experience. Changing the front or rear doesn't matter, just depends on the gearing your looking for. One tooth change to the front is equal to 3 teeth change in the rear, make sense? I run a 15 front tooth and fine tune the gearing with the rear sprocket. Gearing is all personal preference. Since sprockets are so cheap, I'd buy a 15 front and 2 rear sprockets and play with them to see what you like better. Later.

2k4_Shee
i would just like to spend as little as possible and be able to beat him. Smaller tooth sprocket=more low end ? What are the stock sprockets and what would you change them to for more low-mid range. Would you get a low end sprocket and a high end pipe or a low end pipe and a high end sprocket? Banshee~
Like he said dropping a tooth on the front is like adding 3 teeth to back, the smaller the front sprocket is the faster you acclerate.I wouldent go any lower than 14 because the smaller the sprocket the faster it wears out. Heres what i'd do Pipes Coolhead (domes depending on what gas you want to run) Vforce 3 reed cage and some reeds Trinity 35mm 2in1 carb Port the sh!t out of it I would stick with bottem - mid end so you get the holeshot
