Tim C
A friend of mine blew the rod bearing on the crank of his yfz 450. There's not that many hours on the bike, anyone know if this is a common problem?

420 RACING
YES I HAVE A BUDDY THAT HAS ONE AND LOCKED UP THE LOWER ROD BEARING. HE GOT A NEW CRANK FROM YAMAHA AND A 470 BB KIT FROM FOUR STROKE TECH, ONCE ALL THE PARTS CAME OFF BACK ORDER IT ONLY TOOK ME ABOUT FOUR HOURS FOR A COMPLETE REBUILD. WHILE YOU ARE IN THERE SPEND THE 100.00 BUCKS AND REPLACE THE OIL PUMP JUST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE.
CoopBanshee
Do you think the 450 that you built could beat a banshee with the same amount of time and money into it? Or Would it blow another POS crank?
420 RACING
SIENCE WE GOT THAT THING TOGETHER WE HAVENT HAD A CHANCE TO RUN EM YET IN THE SAND!!!!!! BUT WE DID TAKE A LITTLE RIDE AROUND A BACK ROAD AND DO A COUPLE RUNS FROM AROUND 15 MPH. NO JOKE THAT THING RIPS BUT I STILL PULL THROUGH OUT THE GEARS. I MISSED A SHIFT ONE TIME AND THAT WAS IT HE TOOK THE LEAD. WATCH OUT!! THOSE BITCHES ARE QUICK, ALTHOUGH THATS NOT ALL THATS DONE TO THAT YFZ.
