sredish
Sounds like your floats aren't adjusted properly.
DirtRider
it runs fine? you floater hight i thnk could not be set right and allow this to happen, no sure though. you sure the lines are all hoked up and tight.
banshee04le
Don't clamp off the overflows. That would just cause the fuel to flood into your crankcase. You probably have a piece of dirt holding your float valve open. Disassemble the carbs and clean them w/carb cleaner and compressed air. Adjust the float and or replace the needle and seat if necessary.
sredish
Just wondering why you posted one problem in the Repair/Mods then came over to Gen Dis. to post the new problem?? You said new question, but most people would think it'd be in the Repairs/Mods like it should be. Just wondering...
nasty01banshee
happened to me once, now i always turn my valve to "off" when shee gets put away, prolly a piece of dirt in your carb causing the float to stick...
SANDSTAR
Buy some depends. Oh yeah, flush a bunch of water down that drain. You're sittin' on a bomb, bro'.
Christian
myself I`d pull the carbs but havent done it yet to know thats its a pain, but stupid simple check trick put enuff gas in the tank turn on the gas tap """easily""""on the float bowls and see if it stops (stuck float)
Bansheeman1121
O yeah sry its not in the repair thread forgot to switch back to it, but Lucky me to have a peice of dirt get in my carbs, then on the other hand sure i can take them off but ill never get them back on.. When i take them off to clean them does that involve taking off the thottle cables?? Hope me shee dosnt have to sit in the shop now for days and anyway i dont have any money to fix it, I guess ill see what i can do tomarow but if i do tomarow might be that last day my banshee has carbs becuase i dont no what the hell im doin, also there stock ones could that be a reason they like to stick wide open sometimes when i just warm it up in the morning?? Sry for all the questions but this thing isnt like my foreman change the oil and it runs forever, O yeah and what you mean by sittin on a bomb is it gonna blow up?? sredish
When i take them off to clean them does that involve taking off the thottle cables?? Yes, remove the throttle caps and pull the whole slide assembly and set it aside, with the cables attached. Then turn off the gas and remove the carbs from the boots. also there stock ones could that be a reason they like to stick wide open sometimes when i just warm it up in the morning?? definitely sounds like you need a good carb cleaning... O yeah and what you mean by sittin on a bomb is it gonna blow up?? He just means since you have fuel droppping and sittting into that little dip on the motor, it wouldn't take much to set it afire, especially if your a smoker. Later & good luck. banshee04le
He meant that all the fuel that you said ran down into the drain in the floor of your garage needs to be diluted down with water.
Bansheeman1121
O i got you, serosuly thanx for the help, im gonna give her a good carb cleaning today i just hope i can get it back together, anyways im in for some 28 or 30mm carbs becuase stocks probably are not givin my ported motor enough flow.. One more question whats a good carb cleaner?? And dont use water to clean them correct?? Thanx again..
sredish
You can get a spray can of carb/choke cleaner at any auto parts, walmart, and other similar stores. There are tons of different brands, but all should work about the same. Some people just use gas, but I like having the spray pressure to get into places. SANDSTAR
What I ment about the BOMB was, if you had fuel leaking into your floor drain, you will have a bunch of gas sitting in the p-trap. One spark and BOOM! Just flush a bunch of water down it and you will be fine.
Justintoxicated
I get this problem every time I refill empty carbs, I just smack them with a screwdriver handle multiple times and go for a ride usualy that frees them up...Otherwise it's just a few screws to take off the bottem of the carbs to clean them out, no throttle cable removal necessary, just detach from airbox and manifold, and it's the 4 screws in the bottem....every easy fix jsut a pin in the ass . or with cerain carbs you an just rotat them to open up the bottem, but good luck doing that with the stock ones!
