reas11 Posted June 25, 2004 Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 the heat range on the plug is the same .. the only diffrence is the br8es will not cause as much interference with things like tvs, radios , phones ect ect . the b8es will cause all kinds of interference . MotulMonsta Posted June 25, 2004 Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 Depends on what cdi your running. Stock cdi's will work with b8es, but aftermarket cdi's might malfunction. If you've got a totaly stock ignition system..b8es will work..but if your running aftermarket coil, cdi, or even plug boots..might want to run the r type spark plug. sredish Posted June 26, 2004 Report Share Posted June 26, 2004 B8ES work with the stock setup because the stock plug boots have resistors in them so a non-resistor plug will work fine. If you change the boots out then you'll need to run BR8ES. BR8ES and B8ES work exactly the same, no diff in performance or anything. When in doubt, run BR8ES. Later. superchicken Posted June 26, 2004 Report Share Posted June 26, 2004 a local shee builder told me once that with a stock cdi you dont want to use resistor plugs.double resistor,b-cause the plug caps are loaded will cause shortened life of the coil and cdi.dont know if its true ,any one know ?
