Carrying The Shee Using Your Vehicle

See you put the shee on the trailer that has two tires.

The hook is installed at the back of your track, the hook is the metal part that connects your trailer to the truck.

Now, my question is, when you connect the trailer to the hook of the car,

what hook design is the best to have.

There is hook on the trailer and there is a hook on the truck and when both hooks are connected then you can tow the Banshee.

Can some one show different hooks by picture and their advantages and disadvantages of each hook.

Note: there is a hook at the back of the truck and there is a hook on the front of the trailer.

When both hooks are connected, then your truck can tow the trailer.

ok got cha, what you are refering to is the hitch and reciever set up, for small things like atv trailers theres only going to be one kind, and its available at any welding shop or u haul, hell even wallmart sells hitches and recievers. if you step up to some of the bigger equipment then some use a gi hitch, whitch is like a "hook" but you will not find a small trailer with a gi loop on it unless it was a special made deal. ill dig up some pics and show you a standard 2 inch hitch and ill take a few pics of all my recievers and explain the differences, if no one beats me to it. if you dont mind me asking, why do you ask and are you planing on getting a hitch installed on your ride ?

i cant think of a disadvantage to a reciever type hitch, unless you have a low vehicle and it might scrape when going up steep driveways or something. if its on a truck they make great tow points for when you get bogged down. plus they can be rated for a whole lot more weight than a bumper type hitch, and they have THE cutest little propellers to put in them! :shootself:

They make small ball and hitch type....the ball is about the size of a golf ball and the one I have is a 2 1/8 inch ball.

I don't mean to sound like i am doubting you, but I haven't ever heard of a 2 1/8" ball. I've heard of the other standards such as 1 7/8", 2", and 2 5/16". IS this something new, or have I just been asleep at the wheel???

xt45, if you have a car and not a truck then a hitch and trailer combo will be all wrong for you. What your gona want to do is get some 2X6's two of them about 8 feet long, and mount a 2X4 in a "T" type fashion to give you more strength. Then lay them up the back side of your car and ride your shee right up to the roof, strap her down and head out for the trails. Now, make sure you remember, having a shee on your roof will make you top heay, so easy on the turns. :jesterlaugh:

..............If anyone tries this, PLEASE post the pics :headbang:
