racer
so i was going to use a dye grinder to cut the head off!!!!! dont think thatll help much. from what i understand the bolts pretty much weld themselves into the swingarm
philshee
You guys might also think of using liquid wrench the day, or night before. Lay the machine on its side and let the liquid wrench run down all around the bolt. It might help soften the rust some, and help the bolt slide out. Jereme6655
/\ exactly what john said..... Im amazed I haven't heard anyone mention cutting it in the old thread. Buddy of mine just squeezed a sawzall blade in between the frame and the swingarm with the bike on its side and had it all taken care of in about 10 minutes. Kill 3 birds with one stone. #1 - quickly get's swingarm out. #2 - get all new bolt/shaft/ bearings #3 - drop that stupid heavy dumb stock swingarm in the scrap bin and jump into a light chromoly arm with the round Honda style carrier like EVERY new atv uses. Then sit back and enjoy NEVER dicking with the old factory design every time you need to adjust a chain or mess with gearing. Take pride in knowing you have removed one of the more major flaws in the stock Banshee design.
