nater006
Been discovering that stock gearing doesn't really cut it with porting and pipes and stuff. The bloody thing just spins. I have the stock gearing (14/41) and a stock sized chain (106 links i think it is? can't remember). Anyway.. anyone know what the largest sprocket is I could bump up to on the front without having to change my chain to a larger one? Figured a 15 tooth would help with the wheel spin, or possibly a 16 if the 15 just isn't enough. Anyway, thanks!
locogato11283
you might be able to get away with a 15 tooth front, but i doubt youll be able to go 16 without adding some links. if you have to add its no big deal. break your chain somewhere, add in the pieces and run 2 masterlinks. thats what im doing on both of my banshees, and ive never had a problem yet. sredish
I run a 15 front and I'm always changing the rear around depending on where I'm riding, mostly just cause I like to screw with it. A 16 would be a little tight with the stock chain. Just go get another master link and a 16 tooth sprocket. If the chain won't loosen enough, then break it and put that link in there. LIsurfer_
I have the 13 / 41 set-up on mine now...it really is a waste...the damn tires light up on a whim.....lots of fun on pavement though...........
nickxc
you can put a 16 on the front. I had a 16 on the front of my 2000 shee and I had stock rear sproket and chain... I have 15 on my shee right now but I might up it to 16 after I get my motor back
