kenr74
I'm suprised nobody has said this yet but I wouldn't recommend porting your own cylinders. There is a science to it that take a lot of practice to get just right. I'd rather have a slow bike that a dead bike after I fucked up my cylinders. There are some pics of porting on here if you do a search. Good luck.
MULLET~BOY
2 strokes are alot harder to port then 4 strokes most the work is done in the transphers you need speical tools that will cost you around 700 bucks then you would have to find out what to to set the ports at and such i would just send it to some one that really knows what there doing with two strokes like www.patriotracing.net it will save you money and a headacke in the end
nater006
Lots of folks have seemed to have decent luck with the Race Logic templates if you do a search, but I gotta agree with Mullet~Boy that if you want to make something really crazy, send it to a pro. Just looking for a little more zip out of the engine at an economical price, you should be able to get away with it if you take your time and use some templates. Nighty
Well if all that stuff is as good as they say it is (those pulse pipes)... They use the toomey t5's to compare the pulse pipes with. According to them a T5 is less efficient in a tuned engine then on a stock engine.(aka developed for stock engine) as far as i know a T5 is one of the best pipes for (mildly) tuned engines. a T6 system is said to be less effective on a tuned engine. All this might change with strokers and bigbore banshees. To bad the dont have the dyno data up yet. This might be interresting for all the stroker 12 porters out here.
