Any one know were i can get a decient price on some pure sport bandits for the front of the shee. 21 inchers. Rocky mountain stop carring them.

yeah that sucks! i was about to order new fronts from rocky mtn too. they had the best deal i could find. i haven't found anywhere comparable yet. i may end up at the stealership.

dennis kirk's prices usually aren't much better than the stealerships in my area. add shipping and you might as well get them from the stealership and have them mounted for $00.

what kind of terrain do you ride.....if its any type of muddy conditions at all.....I dont like them....I have them on the front and the flatness of them just makes them want to push. They are good for skimming across water and on the right terrain they are a decent tire, but the next tire I'm going with is a rounded tire, either a razr2 or a Kenda Front Max.

Dennis Kirk ships for free if you spend more than $100 though. You gotta remember that. It usually makes their prices competitve with everyone else.

yeah i forgot about that with my last post. i was a little leery about the flatness of the ps fronts too, and it sounds like i may have had good reason. i figured my next choice would be holeshot xcr's. 6 ply and i like the treads and the shape of them. the more i look at them, i like them better than the ps fronts anyway. I gotta agree with him there. I've got the kevlar belted ones and have ridden some nasty rocky trails with them and not punctured a tire. There's nice gash marks on the sidewall, but nothing has gone through.

The same trails with my stock tires, after a weekend of riding I had about 30 plugs in my stock tires.

I wish more companies would get into the kevlar lined tires, they are light and can take a beating. I'm still gonna try a round 6 ply tire next and see how they hold up. I know I'll be able to turn better and not push as much through the corners.

Has anyone tried realtors? How do they act on blacktop, do they vibrate? How much traction do you get if you reverse them and does that affect how they do on blacktop?

I'm asking because some of my trails I have to go down the road a mile or 2 to get to them.

They can and probably will vibrate the teeth right outta your head on blacktop. Any hard surface is an interesting ride with those beasts on the back. I had a set, and LOVED them when stuff got soft, anything hard was poor traction, and alot of noise/vibration...

The Realtors arent that bad on the road. Kinda sound like a mudding tire going down the road. You get a little vibration....but nothing thats gonna shake you to death. I've ridden them on the road many times for good distances.

I used to always run mine the sand way, and of course the traction was crazy with them, but doing hillclimbs on dirt the one day I reversed them back to the dirt way and surprisingly it was a lot better for the dirt. It allowed some slipping that would make it easier to control the shee. As far as powersliding goes they suck. Very hard to control, not enough side bite, it'll grip for a second and then slip real easy when you least expect it.

Only thing I dislike them also is that they are 22" tires. If your not completely on the gas when jumping you'll nosedive hard, and they tend to make you want to sit up on the gas tank. I love the realtors as a back up set to have. They are my tire of choice to put on if I dont know what I'm getting myself into. They will go through almost anything, including getting a 8 plug slice in the sidewall 10-15 miles from camp. They got me back in one piece.
