Wallynut
I would like to set my pegs back, either buying Warrior/Blaster (can't remember which ones work for this), but was wondering about the shifter. Will I need to get something else too, I'm thinking that the shifter will be too far ahead.
evil
its usually done with blaster pegs and you do have to modify the shifter also, try just making the platform wider by doubling up the pegs and see how you like it, most people that want to do the blaster mod and go lower usually end up just doing the doudle up trick so they can set back farther and still feel in control. try it first before you get into the blaster mod. later
banshee370
See this is where I may be wrong... but I dont see how adding another width to the stock pegs will let you set back some. The blaster pegs are down 2" and back 2". Now if you were to double them up then I could see a benefit. With or without the kickup. Maybe its my personal opinion but since I have long legs I feel a bit more comfortable setting back more. I run a -1 pro design shifter and with the blaster pegs. To me its VERY comfortable. You could also cut your stock shifter and shorten it, but to me they flex way too much. I left the rear brake lever stock and have no problems with that. Minkia38
heres are mine - chromed (well zinc plated) 2 pegs welded together -2 on each side -2 shifter -2 brake havent tried them out yet - i like my nerfs too much
broke
I run Blaster pegs and DG nerfs. It did take a litle bit of creative grinding, but nothing too serious. I have been riding like this fopr about a year and a half and have yet to cut my shifter and brake lever. It is a little far, but I don't even notice it anymore. broke
checkster
I cut my stock banshee stuff and rewelded it. -2 pegs, -2 brake and shifter. works great and the mod was free. check

WE CAN GET THE SAME EFFECT BY STANDING ON THE REAR OF THE PEGS, IF THEY WERE WIDER AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY AS MUCH ABOUT SMACKING THE TWINS ON THE SEAT. IT JUST MAKES YOU MORE COMFORTABLE ON THE WIDER PLATFORM THEN RIDING ON THE BALLS OF YOUR FEET ALL THE TIME.
Wallynut
Thanks for the replies guys. I find that keep putting my feet back as far as I can on the stock foot guard which makes getting quick shifts, well, not so quick. I'll probably just end up cutting and rewelding. I don't mind the height, not sure if any benefits to lowering the pegs, for me at least.
evil
only benafit to lowering them is a lower center of gravity, and it kind of hangs your ass over the rear wheels. but if your short, well you can figure it out. i have done a few lowerings for people and do not like them, hell walts ride wasnt that comfortable to me, but thats just me. keep us posted as to what you do, later wally. What I noticed w/ my pegs down and back is that (a) I'm more comfortable when riding and ( It puts more weight on the back end/tires. Not that I weigh all that much but it does help
