Trinity Cv 33 Jetting

Recommended Posts

I just installed a Trinity CV manifold and 33 mm carb along with Trinity Stage IV pipes and silencers. I currently have a Pro-design coolhead W/22cc domes ,Weisco .20 over superlite pistons , K&N air filter w/ no lid. I am at sea level and it is between 60-80 degrees right now.I would like to know what size Main ,Pilots, and needle position everyone else with these similar mods are runnin. I don't have any place nearby to do a WOT test without neighbors callin the police.I know I am going to have to sooner or later but would like to get it pretty much dialed in before hand .

anyone else runnin a 33 mm single carb setup?

Man, as long as your within 170 to 180, you should be alright. I'd say throw a 175 or 180 in there with the needle in the 3rd clip and you should be good to go. 180 is possible but would be on the richer side, and 180 should be rich enough and better rich than lean if you can't run a plug check. Put the pilot in there that will get you starting and idling properly.

Later.

Hey Samunoway,

Your setup sounds a little lean to me. Just had mine runnin and it ran like a raped ape with a 182 main ,50 pilot and 1.5 turns out (air screw),needle in the 3rd position.I maybe wrong but your setup doesn't sound right to me .Who knows every bike is different. Thanks for the input anyway.
