We need to know a bit about your bike before we can make any educated guesses. What is the current jetting? What exhausts are you running? Any airbox mods, do you still have the lid and the snorkle? I will be riding in the 5000 foot range and am not sure where to start you should be running a main jet, a pilot jet and some sort of needle with a little clippy thing on it, or maybe a pair of those depending upon your carb setup. that's about all I can tell you based on what you told us.
