Otis
I sent a package out(UPS) on the 5th of this month, and it never made it to where it was going. I had a friend send it out through her work to save me some money on shipping. i dont have the tracking number, and cant get it from her(a whole nother story.. ) I called UPS and asked if there was any info i could give them to help find out where the package was. The UPS person was very short w/ me and pretty much told me i was SOL... Have any of you guys ever had this happen, or know any other steps i could take to try and find my package? I really need some help on this one..... thanks.
nasty01banshee
you'd almost have to go back through their shipping records on their PC, as we have UPS at my work which i use, through trial and error i have learned to writh the tracking # down from the shipping label for times like this.... bignasty1
thats exactly what you would have to do. you would have the giver her the name you shipped it to so they can give you a tracking number. i hate ups they fucked a guy i sold my motor to from here and f*ck me outta 250 dollas to pay for half the damages. Ducman
I dunno, but maybe you could call UPS and act like you were the person who was supposed to get the package to see if it was delivered. If you go to UPS's web site and enter the citys name where you sent the package it will tell you where the closest distribution center is (where the package is loaded on to the delivery trucks) and give you the phone number. Maybe call the distribution center where the package should have ended up and see it they have it there or if they can figure out if it was delivered. If the package was undeliverable, address was wrong, ect., it should aventually get sent back to the location where it came from I think. I asked 'em if they could give me any info if i gave them both addresses (shipped from and to) and the lady told me no deal.... Thanks Duc...I'll give that a try

BdBanshee
I don't know what your package was worth, but you automatically get $100 insurance when you ship with UPS. Maybe you can collect.
Holyman
I think your friend threw your package in the the dumpster and pocketed the bucks. The info exists or it doesn't and the only one to confirm that is the person who shipped it. You need to start at the beginning
Justintoxicated
claim the insurance..it only takes about 4 months to get it....
MILO
If the package was undeliverable, address was wrong, ect., it should aventually get sent back to the location where it came from I think. that was my understanding of this kind of thing too. ups wouldn't give me a tracking # once either. they said the only way was to get it from the shipper. you better start sucking up to your lady friend. women sure do know how to make your life hell sometimes don't they?? evil
only problem i had with ups is the condition i have recieved my goods in, my computer from 370 was so fucked up i had to do body work on it, bondo like a mofo ! and the intake i just got for the diesel had a smashed box, but all the stuff inside was cool. and i know if you didnt get the tracking number at the time it was sent out it may be a p.i.t.a. to try to go back and find it, we do that all the time at work. BenBB
Otis, can you get access to her shipping records and/or the computer she used (if she used UPS online)? I use UPS online, and it gives you the option to print a receipt along with the label, the receipt (just a single printed page) has the tracking number on it. If she uses UPS online and you can get on her computer, you can log in to www.ups.com and find it from "recent shipments" or something like that IF she had Windows save the username and password; left click in the username field and hopefully Windows will have saved the password. Last, if you know the local UPS guys and can get the phone number for the terminal, they might be able to find it...
cdcoxwell
I would bluff her. Tell her that you are going to her boss and tell him that she is doing person things, such as this, on company time and property. If she wants to act like a child, treat her like one. My best friend works at UPS and I will get his opinion on this tomorrow. Cary
