Guest Yamaha Banshee Rider
When I start my shee, and when i push the throttle, it bogs a little and then revs up and it does this whenever i stop and go. I notice that the motor seems to be losing pressure, because the exhaust pipes don't have that much pressure coming out of them. Can someone please help me. Holyman
Get someone to test the actual compression. Judging by what is or isn't coming out of the tail pipe won't answer anything for you. There are many things that can cause hesitation. Just gotta start narrowing them down. First thing to start with is the last thing you did to the quad. Alot of times one thing gets changed by another seemingly unrelated event.
Guest Yamaha Banshee Rider
Well, we did test the actual compression on both sides and they both were 125 on both sides, but it is lossing pressure cause i can feel it when it is running. When i put my hand behind the pipes, the pressure that is supposed to be coming out of them seems to be lossing power pressure
SANDSTAR
Try changing your plugs. My bike acts like that when I loose a plug.
Guest Yamaha Banshee Rider
I just bought new plugs last week on thursday and i tested them on friday last week for spark and compression and the spark was big. Plugs are good, not fouled out.
SANDSTAR
Carbs OK? Hows the sync, jetting, cleanliness? Maybe you are flooding it when you hit the gas. Does the problem get better or worse when you choke it after it is warmed up? Have you done a plug chop to check your jetting? How old is the bike? Sorry to throw so much at you all at once. Guest Yamaha Banshee Rider
My shee is a 1987 with a new 2003 motor rebuilt. and the spark is all fine, it just isn't burning all the gas. It starts on the first kick or second kick everytime. The carbs i don't know about. I will look into those when i get my manual.

SANDSTAR
The 03's are polished and have very few hours on them. The 02's are completly stock with a couple of seasons on em', but still work great.
