KoooPSD
I mixed it 40:1 and it ran alot better tonight........but its ideling high....i know you have to turn the screws on the backs of the carbs but how do you keep both of them in sync to make sure both cylinders are running the same
Hockey390
Just turn them the same amounts... Back when I had TORS I would go 1/2 turn at a time, do both while bike is running of course...If one seems to idle higher then the other, you can adjust them singley (sp?) to sync, then adjust them at the same time to get the right idle speed...hope that helps. Other then that, have fun! and congrats on purchasing the best quad that will ever be made...

Cotton eyed Joe
I mixed it 40:1 and it ran alot better tonight........but its ideling high....i know you have to turn the screws on the backs of the carbs but how do you keep both of them in sync to make sure both cylinders are running the same Also, pay no attention to the slots in those knobs. They mean nothing. I've had people tell me my carbs were out of sync because those slots didn't look to be in the same position...lol... A great way to sync your carbs is with a vaccuum guage. I don't have one yet, but I've seen one from Emgo. They fit various sizes of carb bores and you can get them in 2 cylinder configurations. Basically you are making sure the carbs are allowing in the same volume of air to pass through.
papa_smurf49319
synching the carbs is something you will have to get used to, and takes some fine tuning skills
ledofthezep
Syncing the carbs really isn't all that hard. Get yourself a clymers manual, it's a god-send...trust me. It has step by step instructions on syncing the carbs. If you look on the carbs, on the sides there's a little circular window....if you look on the carb slides there's a little bearing on each one. When the carbs are in sync you'll be able to view the little ball bearing in each window...hope that makes sense & helps you out.
KoooPSD
hey thanks alot...well i love everything about the shee but since the majority of my riding is woods the bottom end sucks.......but we goto a place called waylite and its all like rock dumps with hills everywhere thats when it shows its true side and thats what i love about it, i'll just regear it for now to make it more woods exceptable
sredish
synching the carbs is something you will have to get used to, and takes some fine tuning skills or you could just say f*^k it and get a single carb. no syncing and no bs with all the power the lil gringo needs.
