Fox Racing 180 Pants What Do They Do

Recommended Posts

Please Go to the link below. I bought a pair of those fox 180 pants. Are they just for looks and riding comfort or are they for saving you in a crash. Should I return them and get the more expensive 360 pants? I want something that will save me if I lay over a 250 mx bike or fly off my banshee. I was given the impression that they let you slide on stuff. SInce I do alot of concret :bolt: macadam road widing this is a concern banghead . Will they save me in a crash or should I get knee pads.

:)

you slide on the pants if your in dirt. i haven't tore up any pants yet, but you still get some "road rash" under the pants. The 360's are more "heavy duty" than the 180's. Ride with what you can afford. The air frame is good, it's adjustable for your body size. I've personally been running the thor chest protectors for years. Check out the product review section for the chest protector post.

my cheap ass .02's.

remeber when you hit the dirt try to roll, your body will thank you!!!!! the 180's hold up well, but the 360's last longer because there made with different material (heavier duty).

i got LBZ riding pants that are 5 yrs old, faded like hell but no holes. I've to a couple pairs of snap off free ride pants from fox and have had no problems, there gear is good just there to main stream now for me.

i agree with stu. leather's the way to go for the road. there's no way i'd trade leathers for your fox pants to hit the street on my cbr. i don't wear leather pants, but my jacket wouldn't be anything but leather. ;) leather would have to be wicked hot and uncomfortable in the dirt though. i'd say stick with the fox's, and just don't lay her down on the road. that's the best solution. :P
