madden Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 I just picked my needle up one notch. She runs alot stronger in the mid and top but sputters in the bottom. I turned my airsrews out to 3 turns and it helped quite a bit. But I dont want to go too far. I ordered 27.5 pilots, the dealer called and said they were in BUT they only ordered ONE. So I have to make due for the weekend. 320 mains, needle 4th from top, 30 pilots for now. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Idealy you want your idle/air screws to be 1.5 to 2 turns out. Seems that you already are doing the right thing by changing the pilot jets...once you get the 27.5's in turn your air screws back to 1.5-2 turns out and adjust as necessary from there. Quote
hamuel Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Just to make sure. I always like a second opinon. If yah can start with out the choke it's a little rich on the pilot wich would cause a garguling sounding bog in second out of power. cause it not to rev real quick Quote
