nickxc
I dropped one of my slides straight down on the cement and bent one of my needles. I bent it back but it was still a bitch to get back into the carb will this be ok or should I get some new needles???? If I get new needles there is no sence and getting stock ones since they are like $20 each but what kind should I get... vitos, toomey, ??? Thanks!! Basicorpse
I would definetly get new needles if I were you. You dont want them binding up in there. I have a set of toomey needles in my carbs and I am very happy with them.
sredish
I would definetly get new needles if I were you. without a doubt. most of them will be fine. just get a new one that's not bent.
boonman
I straightened a needle once. It didn't work worth a shit. Get a new one. And be careful....
Banshee Pilot
I have Vito's in my Banshee. I'm happy with them, but I'm not sure they're any better than any other needle. -Craig
frocashmoney24
def get new ones, go to the dealer to get a new one, make sure the 2 you have are the same size!
Justintoxicated
I straightened both my needles...I just bent them back and rolled them along the table to make sure they were true. I don't know why this wouldnet work..
nickxc
is there any advantage to vitos or toomey needles over stock or should I just get stock needles????
Justintoxicated
I would go for the toomy ones..>So you could not bend it back? If you can bend it back perfectly straight you should not have any problems...you can just work it around on a flat table... Why does everyone just say buy new needles? Hey are so expensive for what you get... I believe the toomy's and vitos have a different taper that will affect your mid-throttle jetting. MILO
one of mine was slightly bent, and i straightened it out and haven't had any problems with it since. that was almost 2 years ago. but i've also heard that other brands need set up differently due to different lengths and thicknesses.
