Klotz
I just installed my cool head last night....my banshee was sitting at 120 for compression and after i installled the cool head with 20cc domes it is now at 147 150 for compression....the problem is i just have stock pistons in there...can they handle this kind of compresion?? thanks for your help shane
sredish
yes, your pistons are fine with that compression. If you have your timing advanced much, you may consider a 50/50 race/prem. fuel mixture. 150 really should be fine, but just keep an eye out for detonation until you get used to how it feels and sounds. ledofthezep
I've gotten my head milled .030" and am still running the stock '97 pistons at 150lbs compression on each cyl. You'll be just fine, and still be able to run premium gas.
dlnoss
Same as what the others said. Sounds like good numbers.
