Do I Have To Rejette

i alreay posted this under another post put if i wasent brain dead i just would of posted it here

 

 

 

 

 

 

i have tr6 pipes and the pipe set comes with a jette set and 12 of these little 1" air hole things so the shop jetted my shee acording to the air intake with these little 1" air hole thing that is put into the air box for more air intake and there is 12 of them so i put tape

 

over the holes and it stop some air intake and it realy made a differance it got slower i know that it is normal but do i have to re jette or what

 

my banshee semed to get hotter than usual is that bad that i cover the air holes like that

its not gettin as much air so its leanin out, dont keep running like that, either get new ones put em in there and ride, cover the lid and rejet, or do waht most do and run without the lid or the whole box and rejet

Hey fro, if you cut the airflow, you'll richen the mixture, cause your still gettin the same amount of fuel. Same fuel and less air would mean you have too much fuel, so it's rich. simple mistake, I do it all the time. :rolleyes:

 

Now, why it's running warmer, don't nkow what to say. Maybe because it's getting hotter out, and where are you taking this "reading" from, or how do you know the motor is running hotter? why aren't you just leaving the holes open? if you close a bunch of them, you'll be running rich and may have to back off on the main a size.
