just another one of my stupid ideas, but would it be possible to make a calculator that would tell the advantage (not who would win cuz it would take the fun out if it and have no purpose in acutal racing if it told who would win) that you put in like Surface, distance and bikes, mods and it tells you who has the advantage and by how much. . . . would take alot of programing and stuff considering all the posibilities, but would eliminate most of these questions.

You could probably come up with something like that in Excel, but I can't. Excel hates me. Everytime I open it up to do the books my wife ends up doing it while I play GTA.

You would need a bunch of shit though. Terrain, such as sand, dirt, asphalt and their coefficients of friction, tire pressure, gear ratios, shift rpm, center of gravity, top rpm, hp curve, torque curve, but such a thing would only be correct under perfect conditions. There is no way to calculate human error.

There was a game for PC that I used to have called NHRA Burnout. You could tweak EVERYTHING in a drag car, rail, what ever, from cam durations and lift, to # of cylinders, etc... Very cool game. Getting the tires just right was a bitch. You have swell, stickyness, curve of the surface of the tire....its almost endless. I messed with it for about 8 hours one day and got a 275 mile an hour Trans Am.

thats another reason i said advantage because theres rider weight, skill, how hard they drop the clutch, where their weight is, when they shift, and a few more things
