sredish
Cool. So if I plan on adding a little engine work like a mild port to my engine with the mods I have listed then the single 35 is the way for me to go??? you got it, and it will be a badass runner with some porting. Is it better, worse, same???? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...sspagename=WDVW Didn't see that when posting. Thanks, I really needed to see that. I want a 40mm for my big bore plans. Honestly, I think that is way overkill unless you have BIG plans for your motor. The 35 will get you much better response than that big 40. If you installed the 40, you'd be losing quite a bit of the mid that the single normally has due to the size. That should be put on a fairly strong modded motor. Very nice though. Banchetta
From all my experience on the dyno and field testing, there is no such thing as a larger carb being better for top and smaller carbs are better for bottom...The larger or smaller carb will give you gains throughout the curve or lose gains throughout, I haven't seen anything else. I've tried this on a stock port and ported, stroker........I couldn't find a carb to work as well as stock for the stock porting, it seemed that if I went larger, I lost hp across the whole curve even on ported stock carbs...I thought about putting smaller than stock carbs on and honestly think there would be a gain, maybe thats where the 2into1 setup in coming into play...They might flow less air, increasing velocity and giving a better air/fuel consistency.... As for my stroker though, the opposite happens, the larger the carbs, the more power across the whole curve. I wouldn't suggest a 2 into 1 for a stroker, they just breathe so much more.....
