sredish
I'm sick of the fact that all of a sudden, Yamaha comes out with this great new 450, and now, oooo, we have a YFZ. The "YFZ" has been around a lot longer than a year or two. I believe, if I'm not mistaken, the YFZ came about in 1987, better known as the banshee 350 twin, now all of a sudden everyone's on the YFZ bandwagon. Well, I'm done with it. Some punk, was just in the shop talking to me about my quad, and said, "Dude, have you seen one of those new YFZs". I said, "yea, your lookin at one, except this one's 2 years old". He didn't quite know what I was getting at. I think the new YFZ450, is a great great quad, and I'd love to own one, but technically, saying YFZ, is not specific enough for me anymore. Later. BrokeStonedBiker
well said. though im new to the shee, i still wouldnt want it to be confused with the other cheesy models yamaha makes. yea 450's are cheesy, about as cheesy as any other 4 stroke. im only saying this because i cant afford one. i think its just a matter of what you like, i consider them to go about the same speed. i wouldnt say one goes faster than the other. but i just like the 2 stokes better. if yamaha came out with a bigger "banshee" i would sell every thing i own prolly by the way i hate tyhat expression, "you think too much" i dont know where that expression came from but, i think people who say that need a swift kick in the nose./ how can you think too much? LOL as if you can control your train of thought>? people who think thety can control there thinking are crazy, because its impossable. you just step back from your thinking and realize that you are not in control. now you know how "control freaks" got thart name. 2004LEBanshee
No, I didn't mean for it to refer to you or anyone. I mean it to mean the word stoked. I hate that word and every interview every rider says that. LMAO isnt a word. But thanks for the explaination I have been wondering for months. rebelbanshee2
since it is easier to say "yfz" than "yfz450" people simply call it the yfz. Now banshee sounds cool so people call yfz350s banshees. Most people dont care becasue Banshee is cool and its simple to have just one YFZ so everyone knows what people are talking about. Its kinda like when X-men 2 came out...now when you want to say "I saw X men" you have to say "I saw the fist X-men" or "X-men 1" even though it isnt x-men one its just plain x men. So the off road society has inadvertantly seen this problem and was very happy, until now, calling the YFZ350 the Banshee and the YFZ450 the YFZ....So unless you want to start www.YFZ350HQ.com we dont care hehehehe
rebelbanshee2
Oh and stoked is a widely accepted word in the off road world. It, along with gnarly, should be used in daily conversation...it lets others know you ride.
