dcmoose
sick is a new word the troops hae been saying around here. everything is sick. That banshee is sick, your sick, that jump is sick...it goes on and on all day, till i got so mad i told them that the next muther fucker that said that was gonna get a swift kick to the jimmi. haven't herd that word since then. Oh yeah they say nasty alot too, nasty this nasty that, and they use it for both meanings so you don't know weather somthing is good or bad till they clarify

sredish
You wait and see. I'm gonna start a new trend. No longer will I be calling her Banshee, she's now known as my YFZ. Pretty soon, everybody will be calling her that. In fact, I think we all need to write letters and petition an additional name for the 450 to be called. YFZ350=Banshee YFZ450=??Turdlicker?? Just a thought.

Haynes and Clymer list it as "Banshee" but my Yamaha service manual list as YFZ350 Banshee. Go figure.

KRMit
YFZ350/YZF350 makes it sound like a downgraded YFZ450. Or at least that's what non-knowers would think. But everyone knows BANSHEE. I love the looks of people (even kids) when I have the Shee in the back of the truck. Everyone takes notice and some ask "Is that a Banshee?". MILO
ok, here's my take on this. granted the shee is the yfz350, but when you say "banshee" heads turn and people know what to expect, to be getting roosted by it as they beat the hell out of their ride to try to keep up. have you ever heard the blaster called the yfs200? nope, just the blaster. like the shee, it is what it is, and the name speaks for itself. my "banshee" demands respect just from its name and reputation , therefore, it will remain my "banshee". calling my banshee a yfz just doesn't seem right. should the yfz450 have a ferrocious name too? that doesn't bother me. neither does a yz, kx, rm, cr or anything else, for that matter. although i do think the warrior should have kept it's name, despite copy cat plastics. the raptor look has taken over all brands, which is sad. i like indivuality. and their is nothing like the shee. by the way, in my area, gnarly and stoked are only used by the remote groups of skater kids or drugees. all the skater, surfer, hip hop "languages" are pretty much frowned upon around here. yep, i guess we're just a bunch of old farmers and country hicks. but i wouldn't have it any other way. dynofox
MILO good point about the blaster although my brother calls his blaster a yfs200r once in awhile. Edited May 16, 2004 by dynofox
