I'm Going Nuts!

The UPS-guy just brought the PEP steering stabalizer that I ordered, but I have some trouble mounting it. The problem is that according to the drawings, I have to mount the steering stabalizer at the left engine mount at one side, and at the steering stem at the other. However, the bolt for mounting it to the engine mount is only 3mm thick, while the original bolt was 5mm thick. Am I just doing something wrong or is there another way to mount the steering stabalizer?

Thanks in advance, guys.

Yeah, the bolt to the engine mount should have a long spacer. You put that bolt on the l/s upper engine mount bracket. It should fit. If it's the wrong one, you can pick up another one at any good hdwr store. I recomend setting the stabilizer in it's mid level setting. It's going to be a bitch to get right, but once you have it centered you'll be good for years. I suggest taking the pipes off and removing the radiator. Also watch out for clearance on the radiator..the stop bolt will touch if it's not setup right.

Thanks for helping me out. :D

I finally got it mounted, but I had to shorten the spacer (the stabalizer was hitting my ProCircuits). Luckily, I didn't had to remove my pipes and radiator, because of a new design of the steering stem mounting bracket (the pic in the manual still showed a U-shaped bracket, this one was round).

Thanks again, man.
