sredish
Whatsup all. Just installed my boonman special, lightened flywheel. Along with that, I installed a new 200 watt stator on an adjustable plate. I could definitely tell the difference in throttle response with the flywheel. Much much easier to rev up and easier to kick into powerband. Throttle is pretty much instantaneous, you hit it and the rpms are there. Another thing I noticed which I hadn't heard about was how fast the rpms would come down when the throttle is let off. Before, when I'd let off the throttle, it'd come down kinda slowly on it's own. With the modded flywheel, they seem to pretty much drop to an idle, which I like. It seems the rpms are easier to maintain and vary based on your liking. A "friend" told me I'd lose some midrange power with the flywheel, and it's quite the opposite, I may not have gained power, but I can hit the powerband easier now from a midrange position. I'm extremely pleased with how it runs. The motor seems to have more of a "go-get-em" attitude now. I'm sure that's also due to the +4 timing she has now. I can pull a wheelie from one gear higher now without clutching, not that I'm much of a wheelie monster. Not to mention the lights are bbbbrrrriiiiigggghhhtttt. Cool, later fellas. Scott PS- Thanks boonman, shee is sweeet. Wish I could keep that flywheel out in the open with how trick it looks.
DIRTBIKEZ
Another thing I noticed which I hadn't heard about was how fast the rpms would come down when the throttle is let off. Of course, theres less rotating mass/momentum. Hopefully I can get mine pulled soon and "boon tuned" . For the price, you cant beat it. ledofthezep
Right on, I got the adjustable stator...just need to quit being a cheap ass & send my flywheel for a little 'boon-tune' myself.
boonman
I'm extremely pleased with how it runs. Nice. I mentioned I've never had someone take me up on the guarantee offer.... A "friend" told me I'd lose some midrange power with the flywheel, and it's quite the opposite, I may not have gained power, but I can hit the powerband easier now from a midrange position hell yea!!!! Throttle response is world's different!!!!! Although, I am unsure of how much longer the "boon specials" will be offered. I may be quitting my job. In which case, I have to find a lathe myself and do it at home.... We'll see how it goes. I am at wit's end with my current employer..... Glad to hear you like it though!!!! sredish
Although, I am unsure of how much longer the "boon specials" will be offered. I may be quitting my job. Whew!! Just in the nick of time. I didn't have a lot of ride time with the new setup, just a quick warm-up, plug check and a few minutes jammin my little "course" out in the pasture. I'll be headed to the dunes first thing in the morning. I'll know a lot after I get back. Dunes baby!! Ha Ha suckers.

Rescuejeff
Boonman, I need to send you my wifes flywheel but I will hold off on getting it to you until you decide on what the future holds for you. E mail me if you still want me to send it out to you, I would be greatly indebited to you. You do great work and have read nothing but GREAT reviews of your work and had lots of help from you in jetting issues.

98bonerSTOCKshee
where can I get info? How much more wattage to the light? I hate my stock stator.. A lightened flywheels sounds interesting.. I was looking at ricky stator and flywheel combo for almost 3 Cnotes, but if the boonman got a better deal, I am all ears!
sredish
You send your flywheel to boonman and he lightens it and ships it back. No more than a couple days in the turnaround, and he does for under one bill. The stator gives you 200 watts, period. If you have 2 55 watt lights, that's a total of 110 watts, and that leaves another 90 available. The stocker only has around 80 watts, so your pretty limited.
