jinx44
I am 23 and grew up on county music. The black album (mainly Sandman) by Metallica is what got me listening to metal about 6 years ago. I have since bought all of the earlier metallica albums. Even though many people disowned metallica after the black album, I still think Load and Reload are worth buying. So, I figured St. Anger would be about the same also. Was I wrong. This has to be the biggest waste of money on a CD that I have ever spent. I bought it the day it was released and have listened to it once. It sounds like a band that has been together 20 days instead of 20 years. They only other CD that I have been as let down by was Chris Cornell's solo album. I would still like to see them live, but I wish I would have done it last year before this new release so I could hear some good music. Of topic, anyone checked out StoneSour? Aside from the one song they have released, which I think is pretty g-a-y, the album is cool. Some songs would be great to use as background music for Sandstorm or other riding movies. Everytime I hear track 1, I think about how I would use it in the background of a race video.
Ducman
jinx44, thats funny, the black alblum got me into Metalica too, and ya gotta love Fuel if your a drag race fan! But I'll agree that It just doesn't get any better than the oldschool Metalica with the clasical guitar intros - One's my fav. Yeah, I got the new Stone Sour CD, pleasently surprised on how hard rockin the CD was, definitly good banshee dune thrashin music.
BansheeBrian
I still use alot of their riffs and some solos as warmups on my guitar.Brilliant in the past but now soft and sober. Their "I'll sue you're ass, kid" mentality has to go.Their guitars have lost that low CHUG-CHUG-CHUG hard hitting E.Before they played every note as if it was their last. Listening to a little "master of puppets" never hurt on the way to the sand pit.
94BansheeRider
If you want to check out a REAL metal show, go to the Headbangers Ball Show. Went last week in OKC, and it was cool. Damageplan had to cancel, but Hatebreed, Drowning Pool, and Unearth was worth the 20 bucks for the show. I have been watching Headbangers Ball every Saturday latley, and guess what??? NO METALLICA being played on there. That should say something...

sredish
Most of the people here say that Metallica sucks is too young to know who Metallica was. Don't follow Metallica much anymore but when I was in highschool and somewhat before, Metallica was totally f*^king awesome. Don't give a f*^k attitude with the metal to prove it. I still have my "Cliff 'em all" video. That's some good shit right there.
