broke
I would love to have one of those parked next to my Banshee. They are one of the best quads I have ridden. My problem with them is they are almost boring to ride. When I go riding I want to come back with one of those smiles that I can't get rid of even if I tried, the 450 didn't give me that. The 450 handled so well, and hooked so well it was almost brainless to ride. It's one of those quads I would love to have if I was riding with a wife and kids. Not to insult the quad at all, but it is very easy to ride slowly. I actually thought it would have more torque right off idle, pulls hard in the midrange then starts to fall short on top(I guess I might be used to mine too much). Well anyway, good luck Loco What I wouldn't give to have them both. Or would that be all three with various motors. I need to sell myhouse and become single again. broke Edited May 8, 2004 by broke

nickxc
I rode a yfz and loved it. It had great power but it was that predictable 4 stroke power that you know exactly what its gunna do before it does it. I like surprise in my life . I would have owned one but I was uncomfortable riding it my knees where too close to the handle bars and I got a banshee that is faster than a yfz for about 2 grand less. sheebroke
na i sold my shee cuz the chassie was in bad shape needed a arms rear axle ect. and the type of riding i do it just wasnt workin for me . i still have a yamaha . rode for 6 hrs today and i like the yfz theres lil things i dont like but will deal with it lol . IMHO first gear is too lo and 2nd was to high for real tight trails im gonna soften it up some too its pretty stiff . another thing is it felt like it needed another gear i was in 5th and caught my self grabin for another gear . it does pull real had midrange it was fun passin my buddys in a wheelie (raptor, warrior) runin in forth just gag it and it pulls the front . i do miss my shee already but just didnt work for me . all in all very good quad likes to be reved handels like a dream and does hook very well . had alot of 450r's wanting to race just to c if there piped bike could out run it but bein brand new i didnt drag any gonna break it it first . jeff
phonebem
You shoulda known you'd get hammered for saying that here. I honestly think the YFZ and the TRX 450s are the Banshee and the 250R of the new generation of quads. The two that no one else will be able to compete with without going rediculously overboard on displacement.
BenBB
That's cool sheebroke, I know your Banshee gave you some trouble but as long as you're still ridin' that's all that matters. And if I ever had to get a thumper it would hafta be a YFZ, have fun on it.
