Mixing Gas In The Tank?

Recommended Posts

Uh, Ur, Yeah I done it berfore. I Aint to proud of it, but it works jus fine.

Put the oil in and shake it up right away, then put gas in and shake again.

Yeah, I think we've all done it a time or two, or maybe more... like they said, be sure to turn you petcock off, then just put the oil in and then the gas. just make sure you know how much room for gas you have. you'd hate to put x amount of oil in and then not have room for the gas you need for the right mixture. ;)

ur tank doesnt have to be dry, the gas thats int here already should be mixed....So if u add 2 gallons on top of one, and you put 8 Oz of oil in there ur ratio will still be the same, if u ask me, whats wrong with it, it wount mix???how is a gas can any diffrent????

well, nothing as long as you take the few precautions mentioned before.

Just make sure that when you mix it you have your petcock to the off possition because if you put hte oil and then the gas the oil will sink and possibly go straight to your carb bowls.

If that happened, then you'd burn all your oil if it would even run and then be running straight fuel. It's also important to make sure it's mixed well before you take off. If those two aspects are covered, then there's no prob.

Ya I dont see whats wrong with it. Your gas tank is no different than a gas can. watch the pump and see how much gas you put in to fill it up then add the proper amount of oil and jump on it a couple times. Do a couple hard wheelies leaving the gas station and shees fine. done it a lot with no problems.
