What To Ask

Recommended Posts

I've finally made up my mind, I'm selling the shee. It is a fast quad, but just not right for motocross. Now I need to know how much to ask for it and what set the reserve at if I put it on ebay. Its a 99 sitting in an 01 frame, the motor was gone through bottom to top no more than 30hrs ago, check the sig for the rest of the details. If you need to see a pic of it check out my thread in the images forum. Thanks.

I see you are in Illinois. When I was looking seriously on ebay for a Banshee I realized that shipping cost was a real big unknown. Often the seller didn't even answer questions about helping with shipping.I would rec'm that you offer to crate up the Shee and deliver to a local low cost trucking company. If you do this you can get it shipped anywhere in 48 states for $300 or less from Illinois to nearest shipping terminal. Then the northwest and southwest guys could also get interested.

With all the add on's you should start off at $5.0K reserve and slowly come down if you need to.

if you think 4500 is lowball then you are better off parting it out. Noone in this day and age will spend over 4000$ on any 2 stroke on Ebay.Unless of course its some rich kid. Me and someone else on this site(demsy) discussed selling ours and its just not worth it. Parting out will get you as close as possible to getting every bit of your money back as posible. It just takes some work to part out but its nothing major. I had my bike down to the frame in 8 hours and that was taking my sweet ass time and breaking the motor apart.

it does suck but its the nature of the beast, all these guys with their yfz's that are bone stock that are asking like 6000$ for them better suck up their pride and lower them because pretty soon those yfz's are going to be in the same ball park as banshees. I dont see the value of the banshee dropping any more but it will stay steady at least. Unlike the four strokes were here in about a year or twoo they are going to be a dime a dozen and some people are going to want to stand out. Hell remember when the raptor came out, hottest shit on the block. 6500$ price tag and look at it now! you can get an 03 raptor with the better tranny and starter for like 4000$ and hell you can get an 01 for about the same price as a beat to shit blaster. I could not hang on to my shee any more because my fucking wrist just isnt healing.
