CombatTalon2
Just be glad you dont live in England... I lived there for 3 years, price for gas was about 70-80 Pence per liter, so thats about $1.20 per liter, or almost $5.00 per Gallon.......that is the way it is all the time. just crazy. So i dont complain MUCH about gas prices. Its getting bad though. Tucson 91 Octane going for $2.03 this morning on the Air Force base, about 5-10 cents more off base. Shee_Rookie
Well here in NV on the Indian Res. it has just jumped to $2.18 for reg. This place used to be the cheapest in town ... =(
boonman
CD, why do you have to run Super in your Navigator? SOunds kind of funny to me..... Every vehicle made recently, (within the last 10-15 years) that burns gasoline and has a knock sensor can run mexican fuel if you wanted to. Except maybe an LS-1..... I doubt that your Navigator is that high of compression to need high octane..... And with the knock sensor it will retard timing untill the engine doesn't ping anymore........ So it protects itself. Your mileage may be a little off with lower grade fuel if in fact your rig does ping..... I doubt it will though....
Ducman
The cheapest place in town is at $2.09 for 87 octane unleaded in northern CA right now, some places with higher prices are around $2.23. Suposdly we pay an average of an extra $0.40 per gal over the national average; $0.08 more for our BS eco-friendly gas formula, $0.12 more for CA higher state gas tax and $0.20 more for the gas manufacturers so called low refinery capacity supply vs demand issues (aka price gouging) And I thought most of the southern west coast fuel was made in CA. The diesel price fluctuates real wacky here too. It shot up to $2.19 the other day for what reason ??? Theres talk in CA about making all desel motors retrofit with filters on the exhaust to contain all the soot in the diesel smoke. If that happens I beg the rest of the nation to just kick CA out of the United States, put down this lame hoarse, and let it go down in flames on its own so we dont drag the rest of this good nation down. nater006
$1.98 for reg here in Mid Michigan. Was $1.79 yesturday. Yep. Not sure WTF is up with that! Got a new fuel pump for my S10 en route (bad sending unit on the current one) and so haven't been filling all the way up in case I have to drop the tank. Woe to me, running on 1/4 tank and prices jumped up like a mofo. Jeez. $2/gallon is just robbery. Riding the 900RR everywhere lately to save on gas. Yea, I pay about 2.23 a gallon for 89....It is so expensive! My truck is only getting 12-15 miles a gallon, so getting around is quite expensive...Just getting to school and back is about $5 (15 minues each direction), and sometimes I have to make that trip more than once per day...Crazy thing is I only make about $40 a day after taxes, so it's eating up quite a huge portion of my paycheck, getting out the the desert is even worse, I probably spend about 1/3 of my pay a year on gas and race fuel...Then of course I still have to buy food and insurance...No wonder I am always broke! Guess it's jack in the box 99 cent food again today.... I notice they raise and lower the prices, but it always stays at least one cent higher than before, and they keep doing this every month or so for the last few years...I think we are all getting used to the prices...I know I try not to go anywhere I do not have to Edited May 5, 2004 by Justintoxicated
