My Local Shops Suck

Recommended Posts

i called today about dropping off my z400 to get the motor switch into a diferent set of cases cuz i cracked them and 3 local shops said they were to busy and a project like that would take to much time banghead i was like look i have spent well over 10 g's between my 2 bikes and you guy are turning me down because your fucking busy..... such total bullshit. i have all the parts, the motor out, and everything ready and they said it would take to long. i am half tempted to do it my self but i fucking hate 4 strokes big time when it comes to working on them but it looks like i got me a 4 week waiting list... to hop on to get my bike in.

Ah, I hate dealerships. They are overpriced, and complete bullshitters. If I were you I would find a local used motorcycle shop and have them do it. I have this place near my house called Savage Cycle. They are great, reasonable prices and never "too busy".

wat the hell kind of shop turns down the oportunity to make money? shit if i was good at 4 strokes i'd have us end it to me

Exactly!!!

At my shop the only way we turn away work, is if we truly don't have the time and its too small of a job and the customer doesn't want to wait. If the customer doesn't mind paying a little more if we have to tear down and set up a machine for their job we will do it.

Most of the time we just do everything we can and put in the over time.

if shops are too buisy there too buisy, plan and simple. most times they wont just hire someone for a couple months out of the year that go nuts and need service or product. but it can be frustrating to get the service you need. do it your self? learn how to do it. they will probably charge a lot more during these times anyways.

at my work we are always taring down set ups and jigs and stuff for ionics http://www.elitecp.com/ . when you get a "hot" job, you gotta do it, they pay the extra money for it though.

good luck with fixing that there beast.
