yan Posted May 3, 2004 Report Share Posted May 3, 2004 i have 12 little 1 inch air holes drilled in my air box and i put little air filter like fome inside with a skrin. i have that because i have toomey tr6 pipes and a pro design air filter so my problem is that mud and water get into that dam air box fast because of the little air holes. dose the holes realy make a differance in performance for the pipes and stuff or could i block the holes with cilicone to stop some air flow and some water and mud or realy last resort should i stay away from mud and water altogether thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My engine would have been toast this weekend if I had any air vents in my lid!! You might notice a slight difference without the holes but not enough to risk trashing your engine...I'd say buy you a new lid on ebay and try it out. I would use black duct tape, but I'm a cheap mofo too. It really depends on how you want it to look. It won't make any difference performance wise.
