It has spark, will start sometimes w/starting fluid, But will die after it burns it out! other than it will not fire off! Here's his mods a short list.. Toomeys t-5.. no TORS stock carbs w/270 mains, stock pilots I think 25... we r at 600ft sealevel acts like it's not getting fuel..reeds r good.... I have cleaned the pilots thinking the might need to be "bigger"though I'm not to good w/2 carbs That's why I have 2in1 ..... Any help would be helpful! spoin39
Obviously it is not getting gas, check to see if fuel is coming out the petcock, and if it is, you need to check the carbs again. make sure they are clean and you hook everything back up, I.E. the hoses, and slides are in correctly. It takes fuel and spark to fire, so one is not happening. Also, make sure the gas cap's vent is working, I have seen this alot on raptors, maybe it happens to banshee's too, it is the same cap. banshee76179
yep, it getting fuel to the carbs... What r the slides? It has spark.. I'm also thinking of something eletrical maybe the box... Going to take mine off of mine and try it on there maybe It acts like it not getting enough fuel to start.... We have been screwing w/it 4 about a couple of weekends now.. He is getting pissed ...And I don't know what else it could be?
Banchetta
Checklist....look between the two carbs. Do you see a tube (1/4"x 2" long) connecting the two carbs between them?? Next, pull the air cleaner and look inside the carbs w/ a flashlight, make sure the slide cutaway (slant) is facing the airbox and make sure that both slides are down..sometimes one slide will stick open and cause it not to start.... If everything checks out, then try disconnecting the tors brain...Little black box above the left exhaust w/ a 3-wire plug... If it still doesn't start, then check to see if the carb bowls have been swapped...Only one bowl has a little jet in the bottom of the carb bowl for the choke. If you swap the bowls, then it won't start..the bowl w/ the jet has to be on the choke carb.... Next, check your compression...Low compression will make a shee start really hard if at all when cold, but start up fine when warm... Banchetta
A blown crankseal will make it hard to start, but the twin usually will still start...That'd be the last thing I'd do since its the hardest thing to fix.....
