bacon
New to the forums and I couldn't find anything under a search. I like the fullbore tank/nose combo they look sweet! I ride in areas where I would really miss front fenders and I don't want to be eating mud every puddle. Has anyone ever tried to put Bombardier front fenders (The kind that mount to the a-arms) on w/fullbore plastic? I know you hardcore guys are going to give me some grief for even thinking about this! frocashmoney24
i think sneeky did something like this, they turned when the wheels turned, pretty sweet little gettup, never seen it with fullbores thou
Wassup350
I think it would look pretty cool.
Dark Ranger
I've thought about trying that too. I would be cool to lose the big elephant ears, but still not eat mud constantly while on the trails.
FoxBansheeRacing
I would say if your going to be riding somewhere where you need full plastics because of mud, I wouldnt bother getting expensive plastics like Fullbore.
Dark Ranger
Why not? I would think they would still look cool even if they get a little muddy once in a while.
Phase
I tried making DS-style front fenders over a year ago. I liked the look of cut front fenders, but needed fenders because my Shee is street legal and I needed fenders according to the Dutch law. Evil helped me out back then by e-mailing me pics of DS front fenders and the way they were mounted on the spindels. The problem is that you need to mount the fenders on the spindels, otherwise your wheels could hit your A-arms. I never succeeded in making a design that I liked or a design that I felt could withstand offroad riding. So I eventually just bought the Maier race fenders and the optional fender flares. That way I have the look of cut front fenders, but I can easily bolt my front fenders on when I want to ride on the street. I have one tip though: get the Maier fender flares and make your own mounting bracket. This works a lot better than making fenders out of polyester. bansheefreak
go look at some pics of banshee in the mud the fenders don't really help you...maybe they give you a false sense of security...i have full bores and when i go riding with my buddies we all end up muddy if it is muddy... and mine is easier to wash off ...lol
