#51 BANSHEE
hi to all, quick question about the pilot jet. i called fmf directy to get some info on fmf sst exaust jetting spec with a K&N filter. they told me to run a 280 main with a 35 pilot 2 turns on air screw and stock clip on the needle which is third clip from blunt. So i did what they said and now it seems at 1/8 throttle it's a little sloopy. could the pilot be alittle to big? they told me the that jetting was good at 2000 elavation i'm around 1500. I'm also running without air box lid. any suggestion
sredish
a 35 pilot yeah, i'd cut that back to a 27.5 and see how that works, then put your needle in the 4th clip from the top/blunt end and see how you like it.
Banchetta
fmf doesn't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.....Drop to the stock or 27.5 and go from there....I'd also suggest moving the needle up to the 4th clip from the blunt end like red said....... spoin39
A 35 pilot on a mostly stock engine? FMF couldn't find they're ass with both hands! Definately go to a 27.5 with about 1-1/2 to 2 turns out on the airscrew.
