Goin' To Silver Lakes

Well, when we were up there last year, it was a friday there was no one standing at the gate checking for anything. But on Saturday they were out in full force!!!

I was up there with a new set of toomeys and no "sparkys" or hush kit.

They wouldnt let me in :angry: But I will say they were very polite about it,I knew what I was getting into but I figured I would give it a shot :shootself:

If I were you, I would get some spark arresters and make sure you are not too loud!!!

 

By the way that trip we took was in April of last year. From what I hear they are not to strick at that time of the year.Ive been to Silver Lakes a total of 15 times and never have been checked for decible level :clap:

 

Or,If you have a pickup truck, just put the quad in the back, drive the pickup into the dunes, park on the beach, and ride

I was sound checked in my bone stock 2001 Silverado with a 4.8 motor last weekend. It has no mods whatsoever. So I would say they are a little more serious this year. The only thing I can think of why they would check me is they check every so many vehicles. Regardless of how loud they are.

I've got a wedding may 21st up in Traverse city, maybe I can bring the shee with and shoot down that way for sunday riding.. only problem is i will be by myself.. :huh:

 

Oh ya, and my shee isnt together... lol
