Oilsmoke
Personal I replace it before it has a chance of making something else bad. Thats my 4 cents. You can spend it now or 5 times more later. The choice is yours. Edited April 27, 2004 by Oilsmoke
wimpywade94
i would think that it would work for awhile, but i know it would vibrate like crazy for not being balanced, and a balanced engine is a happy engine, i wouldnt risk it. wade
2001SSTBanshee
Dont put that back in there man. You need a new one. May as well get a hinson. or I might have a used stocker somewhere
boonman
Not worth it. I jusr re-did a motor where one of the ears came off inside the cover, and it wiped out the crank seal, water pump gear, and just chewed shit up. Get a Hinson.... Or, try Ebay for a good stocker.... fixitrod
Anything that spins that fast shouldn't be out of balance. It might work but why take the chance. $150 now or $1000 later.
stillgrowing02
you think one of the ears being broken off would cause it to be out of balance?
fixitrod
you think one of the ears being broken off would cause it to be out of balance? Lol, have you ever seen those little weights they use to balance a tire.
jeffro189
the vibrations it would cause would take out alot fo bearings. i would replace it.

stillgrowing02
the only thing wrong with my bike is that it needs new tires and the rims could use a good powder coating...with everything my sig. says think it would be a problem to get $2500? the top end has less than 10 hours on it and its a 1996 so it has some normal wear and tear
