I do know they make the traks and skis which are similar to those on a snowmobile for quads now days. They say you can use them on snow or sand. The sleds have a lot more rolling resistance in the sand but I've watched a T-cat spank a LOT of modded banshees. That is until the guys bring out the 700 triple sled/quad banshees! boonman Posted April 27, 2004 Report Share Posted April 27, 2004 A sled on the sand is compareable to a sled on the pavement. About one run down the track, and you need to cool it down. There is no radiator. Only a heat exchanger, (actually a few of them). They are designed to use snow to cool the fluid. No snow, no cooling. They are under the tunnel, or under the running board...
