Banshees are heavy on the front end, especially with stock shocks.

My works triples really lightened it up,It was a totally different quad,it took me a couple rides to get used to them. They took away some of the slideability, but it rides like a caddy compared to before and wheelies on command.

If your still running a stock shock, your just beating yourself to death

Yeah thats what I thought. I ride alot of open trails and at quick speeds the front wants to roll soo easy in turns, slowing me down. I need to stiffen it up.

Hey night rider where again did you say that you drag raced your quad at? I forgot.

If you don't have any suspension work, get some done. Get some shocks, whatever you can afford, a arms, wider axle. All these things are more or less bolt on hp, because it will let you ride your bike harder and faster, using more of the power your machine already has. Seriously, you don't have any idea as to what your missing. The Elkas were such an improvement, then the wider axle :o even better handling, can it get better?? I'll find out when I get my wider a arms.

Where do you get them at for $450.  I've just been looking ebay. And would those be as good as works that are fully adjusted?  I don't race, just mess around in trails and jumps but I may race a couple mx races if I get shocks but I gotta get a lot better at keeping the front end level in the air.  I tend to go up or nose dive.  This thing is deffenetly not the easyest to jump at least for me.  I gotta practice more.  Hell I have a friend who finishes top 3 with a stock shee suspenion in occasional races.  So I know it can jump if done right I just dont.  ;)

Thanks for the opinions guys.

OH one more question kinda off target. I'm going to dirt week at hatfield and MCcoy and they have a 300ft dirt drag.  I'm going to enter in it and was wondering if it makes a difference how I should set the compression on my rear shock for a better launch, if it matters.  Hard or soft??

You can get them from Elka direct....The non-adjustables are only $450....same as the works....If you bought the fully adjustable works shocks, then your looking at $900.....compare apple to apples...

Do I need a kill switch or anything, and is it 1/4 mile or 1/8?

Thanks Banchetta, I'll have to save a lil but I think i'm sold on the elkas.
