banshee04le Posted April 24, 2004 Report Share Posted April 24, 2004 My silencers did not want to slip onto the pipes very easily at all. You might want to try a trial fit with the silencers before you put them on the bike. I had to take a rattail file and clean up the edge a little. When i had my CPI i changed my jetting from 240 to 280 and then i had problem with the 280 in the 3rd gear it was losing a lot of power so i went back 2 the 260. 350duner Posted April 24, 2004 Report Share Posted April 24, 2004 Some of my friends have had to actually go to smaller jets with CPI's (changing from T5's). Make sure everything clears, a couple weeks ago we had to weld up a CPI inframe that got a hole worn in it by making contact with the head of a t-rex over a period of time (stock cylinders would clear fine I imagine). When the pipes leave the exhaust collars and start there bend to the chambers, there is a stock mounting bracket on the frame (both sides). The pipes are hitting in this location.
