wimpywade94
well what are some of the tricks of the trade for making a good machine a little better machine using stock parts, things like switching front tire around for better handleing and wider stance on the blaster.. anything like that, if there is any. alter wade
slowpokebanshee
get some water wetter from redline....it runs hot stock, and otherwise. ditch the snorkel on the airbox run 32:1 or 40:1 not 20:1 or 24:1what ever the manual calls for. depending on where you are (elevation etc.) properly jet the carbs chances are you are rich.... afterb that do like the rest of us, and pull out your check book
ranshee
You can mod the clutch perch w/ dremmel and sand paper, cut fenders, make a new grill, polish crank case. All this can be done real cheap if you have proper tools. There are lots of things you can do, just keep readin these posts and youll get plenty of ideas. wimpywade94
well if cutting fenders is giving me 5-6hp then a sticker kit should give like 45-50 right? right now the bike runs rich, and has been run 32:1 for its life im pretty sure, when my friend( who i got it off of) got it from another mutual friend, he told us that it had a rebuild before he got it, and sat for about 4 years without running to much, i think that im going to pull the carbs tommorw, rejet, and clean them thourghly, but i may hold off on the rejetting till its ready to ride so i dont have to mess with it as much, plans so far is to get all the controls back in order, install a kill switch with some nerfs, and find the rest of the plastic to match, or get a whole new setup, and i still need to get a seat also, lots of ideas been brewhaha'in up in here. later wade ps, ive already installed a new airfilter(uni or twinair) i forget, and i found a dude that used to have a banshee and he gave me an airbox lid with holes and vents already drilled into it. then tommorow, im remountin the coolant overflow to the front of the bike
