MotulMonsta
Yep they can become rabid so I wouldn't f*ck with him until you got him checked by a vet. Is it foaming at the mouth? does it walk in a lopsided circle? Maye it's somebody's pet and yes you can get rabies by touching fur...If the animal has licked itself, it's rabies ridded saliva will be all over it's fur and your hand where it will eather enter your mouth or seep into your skin giving YOU rabies. MotulMonsta
Try de shelling the nuts and breaking them up...you can soak them in water to get them a bit softer.

From what I know, they have rabies or something similar at birth. Just like reptiles have salmonilla. I think its just something they have.... And, as far as I know, they ONLY way to check for rabies is to have its brain inspected. The only problem with that, is you have a dead chipmunk on your hands, and an $80 vet bill. SICK BOY
He might be after your nuts.
MotulMonsta
They get it from other rabid animals. but since it's just a baby..maybe it doesn't know any better. keeps some nuts and stuff outside and get a corn on the cob feeder thingy it might come back and hang out. They like bird seeds and sunflowers too.We would build squerrel nest and put em up in trees..keeps em out of the attic.

Ducman
Geeeese you guys! It's not rabid, at that age it would be dead before you found it if it was. I raised several baby gray squirels when I was a kid. They often fall out of the nest or get abandoned by the mother. They are really fun little pets when they are babies. Try feeding it kittens milk formula out of an eye dropper type feeding tube. I'll warn you though, when they get a few monthes old, the instincts kick in and they get really frisky and will start biting the hell out of you (now watch out for your nuts), then it's time to kick them out and let them fend for themselves.
