dirtclod20
What kind of Walthers are those, the glock and DE also look good. Thinking about picking up a Walther for plinking, but my friends say it will replace my glock rather quickly. Marc
evil
the one on the bottom is a p22 (22lr) cheap to shoot and a hell of alot of fun for an all day plinking fest. and the other walther is a p99 40 cal. if it were a little smaller id use it as my all the time carry weapon but the glock with internal laser is what i have 90 % of the time. if its a place where im standing most of the time id prefer the walther over the glock. as far as shooting i have another p99 9mm and i prefer the comfort of the walther over the glock any day. so a side by side of 9mm. walther all the way. German Shepherd
Get a glock .40 if you can take the recoil. I reccomend the Glock 22, 23, or 27. I had a beretta 96 and it failed on me and also rusted IN INOX STAINLESS STEEL! My experiance with desert eagle was horrible they jam to much and are really only good to me for pin shooting. Now I would recomend the .40 because it packs like a 9mm but hits like a 45. The next best thing is a ruger sp101 357 magnum loaded with 38's. Anything large like the desert eagle or even a 45 in some cases will get you killed. You will be dead before you get the second shot. Its not how big it is its how accuretly you can place shots. I carry a glock 22 daily. just my .
German Shepherd
oh and as to 1911's dont get one untill you are really good because they will jam and are harder to tare down.
Dune Ratt
I dissagree the 1911's are a very reliable gun as long as they a treated corectly and a quality peice to begin with. 1911's are made anywhere for the $300 price range to over $1000 and you get what you pay for. I purchased a springfeild longslide V-16 and it has been a teriffic pistol. It can handle the 45 super cartrages and with a 23lbs spring in it the acction works like a dream. The extra porting helps to keep it on target for follow ups.
