nickxc Posted April 19, 2004 Report Share Posted April 19, 2004 I had T5s on my old banshee and sst's on my new one. its been so long I cant really notice much difference between the two (plus they had different mods) But Im wondering if its worth the money to get a set of t6's. I could prolly get $350 out of my sst's but then it would be like another $200 just to have a different set of pipes. Is it worth the money??????? nickxc Posted April 19, 2004 Author Report Share Posted April 19, 2004 I was just looking on their site and the way they have them listed they have all the t6 kits under a heading that says "for stock motors" and all the t5 kits listed under a heading that says "for stock or modified motors" and I plan on adding some motor mods so maybe I'll stick with the sst's I think they make good power and I like the sound of em I just dont have any experience with fmf pipes Ive always used toomey even on friends bikes. sredish Posted April 19, 2004 Report Share Posted April 19, 2004 i'd say no. the fmfs are better with mods, and the t-6s are a bit overrated compared to the trusty t5s. the sst pipes are an overall pipe, good mid all the way through top, although not as peaky and on/off as the toomeys. take the extra cash you have and put it somewhere else and it will go farther for you.
